Highest single game score:
594 by Vince Boyle
Lowest combined game score 217-175:
The game between Barbara Morris and John Edward
Tabasa ended with six consecutive turns of 0.
The scores were 234-194 in John's favour. The
game was half way completed with about 20 tiles
in the bag and the board partly blocked (sorry
no picture) and neither player wanting to give
the other an opening.
Rule 5.2 of WESPA version 3 states:
"The game ends after six consecutive turns scoring
zero, resulting from any combination of passes,
exchanges and successful challenges. If this
occurs, each player's final score is reduced by the
total values of the tiles on his or her rack".
John's rack totalled 17 to be deducted with the Z
and a two point tile. You can imagine his surprise
when Barbara turned over her rack and revealed 19
points deduction including the Q and the V.
